Analytic Approximate Solution of Blasius Equation Using Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM)

Abstract

In this paper, an incompressible viscous fluid flow over a flat plate is presented. The homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is employed to solve the well-known nonlinear Blasius differential equation. We used this new analytic approximated technique, which gave us a very close result to the exact solution. The obtained results have been compared with numerical and exact solutions of Blasius equation, showing the high accuracy of the results obtained in our study.
